Recently, the unveiling ceremony of Xinhua (Yarche) Electric Power Investment Co., Ltd. and the groundbreaking ceremony of the integration of water, light and storage in the Yarkand River Basin-Yarche 800,000-kilowatt photovoltaic project were held in the photovoltaic industrial park of Shache County, Kashgar, Xinjiang.

Xinhua Yerqiang River Basin Water-photovoltaic Storage Integration Project—Yarche 800,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project is located in the photovoltaic industrial park of Charek Town, Shache County, 30 kilometers southwest of Shache County. The landform of the site area is the alluvial plain of Yerqiang River. , the ground elevation is about 1,400 meters, the planned land area is 26,000 mu, the total investment of the project is about 4.5 billion yuan, and the construction scale is 800,000 kilowatts. The annual power generation is 1.325 billion kWh, and the project has good economic, social and ecological benefits. The project will be fully integrated with other hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic and pumped storage power station projects in the Yeerqiang River Basin in Xinjiang, effectively making use of the abundant solar energy resources in the Shache County area, promoting the power industry in Kashgar, improving the power structure of the power grid in Kashgar, Reasonable development of clean energy has helped Shache accelerate the pace of "carbon neutrality" and contribute to green and low-carbon development.

According to reports, the Xinhua Yerqiang River Basin Water-photovoltaic Storage Integration Project—Yarche’s 800,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project is based on the rich hydropower resources of the Yarkand River and makes full use of the Altash, Qire Attar, Chigao, The adjustment characteristics of the four cascade hydropower stations in Qiamusa with a total installed capacity of 1.353 million kilowatts, the construction of Shache’s 800,000-kilowatt grid-connected and 200,000-million (800,000-kilowatt-hour) supporting energy storage projects, combined with the pumping water project to be developed in Kashgar in the later stage Energy storage and photovoltaic power generation projects, to build Xinhua Power Kashgar 10 million kilowatt-class integrated renewable energy base with water, light and storage.

Xiao Shuanghuai, deputy general manager of Shaanxi Xinhua Water Conservancy and Hydropower Investment Co., Ltd., introduced that the 800,000-million-hour photovoltaic and 800,000-hour energy storage project of Shache is the second batch of market-oriented grid-connected projects in Xinjiang. The "Double-Carbon" goal is a major event that contributes to the economic development of Yarkand. The project will invest 4.5 billion yuan in Yarkand, with an annual power generation capacity of 1.3 billion kWh, which can help local economic development.
