On the morning of July 14, 2022, Xinxiang Municipal Government and China Power Construction Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on the pumped storage power station project of Huixian Xipo Station.

The pumped storage power station project of Huixian Xipo Station is located in Huixian City, the upper reservoir is located on the west slope of Nanzhai Town, the initial water level of the reservoir is 1000m, and the dam height is about 80m; About 80m high. The initial planned installed capacity of the site is 1.4 million kW, the initial water head is 450 m, the storage capacity to be adjusted is about 7.35 million m3, and the estimated investment is about 7.4 billion yuan.

After the Xinxiang Municipal Government signed the contract with China Power Construction Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., the two parties will jointly promote the inclusion of this project in the national medium and long-term plan for pumped storage, and strive to complete the regulation work by the end of 2022 and start construction as soon as possible. After the completion of the adjustment, the two parties will cooperate on the development, construction and operation of the project, and plan a comprehensive cultural tourism project and an energy base project centered on the project around the project.
