In order to achieve carbon emission reduction targets, the development of new energy industries in various regions has accelerated. On July 15, 2022, the new demonstration project of wind-light, hydrogen-ammonia integration in the Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park of the National Energy Group Guohua Investment Mengxi Company Urad Middle Banner was put on record.

The project is located in Ganqimaodu Port Processing Park, Urad Middle Banner, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia, covering an area of about 300 mu, with a planned total investment of 2.3 billion yuan and a supporting planned new energy installed capacity of 1.1 million kilowatts, including 800,000 kilowatts of wind power. Photovoltaic 300,000 kilowatts. The project uses wind and solar power to split water to produce high-quality hydrogen, which is then used to produce synthetic ammonia, with an annual output of about 300,000 tons of green ammonia, which will be used for chemical production in the industrial park in western Mengxi. After completion, the annual electricity consumption will be about 3.031 billion kWh, the annual production of one ton of ammonia will consume about 164 kg of standard coal, and the emission of 0.54 tons of carbon dioxide.
