Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region approved the S35 line Shikong to Enhe highway project, and agreed to build the S35 line Shikong to Enhe highway.

S35 line Shikong to Enhe section highway

According to reports, the Shikong to Enhe section of the S35 line project is located in Zhongning County. The route starts from the north side of Tianyuan Manganese Industry in Shikong Town, and an interchange is set up to connect with the Uma Expressway. The route is laid from north to south, operating Pantan Village, Xiejiawan Village ends at Chenlin Village, Enhe Town, where an interchange is set up to connect Fuyin Expressway and Dingwu Expressway, with a total length of about 19.4 kilometers. There are 4 interchanges (2 hub interchanges, 2 general interchanges), 1 extra-large Yellow River bridge, 1 tunnel, as well as necessary traffic engineering, toll maintenance management and other facilities along the line.

The whole line adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane expressway, the design speed is 100 km/h, the roadbed width is 26 meters, the bridge width of the Yellow River Extra-large Bridge is 38 meters, and the bridge and culvert design vehicle load class is highway-I. The estimated investment of the project is about 3.77 billion yuan.

The Shikong to Enhe section of the S35 line is a key expressway project listed in the "Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Provincial Road Network Layout Plan (2015-2030)" and "Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region's 14th Five-Year Development Plan for Comprehensive Transportation System". It is also to implement national development strategies such as ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the promotion of western development in the new era. The 14th Five-Year Development Plan for the Transportation System will improve the expressway network of the autonomous region, promote the interconnection of three national expressways, Dingwu Expressway, Beijing-Tibet Expressway and Uma Expressway, and serve and support the ecological protection and development of the Yellow River Basin in our region.
