In the first half of 2022, China National Heavy Duty Truck ranked first in sales of heavy trucks against the trend with a sales result of "88,700 units, 23.3% market share", and opened a gap of 12,000 units with the second place.
A few days ago, major domestic commercial vehicle listed companies have intensively released their operating performance forecasts for the first half of 2022. Sinotruk has withstood the downward pressure and maintained its basic profit base. It is predicted to achieve a profit of 1.159 billion yuan to 1.377 billion yuan in the first half of the year, becoming the largest "profitable" company in the entire commercial vehicle industry.
As we all know, in 2022, the development of the domestic heavy-duty truck market will be very difficult. In the past 6 months, affected by the epidemic, the slowdown of domestic economic growth, and the obstruction of logistics and other unfavorable factors, the sales volume of the heavy-duty truck industry in the first half of 2021 was 1,044,600 units. At the historical high point of the base, the sales of heavy trucks in the first half of 2022 were only less than 40% of that in the same period, with only 380,100 units sold.
In this context, Sinotruk can withstand the pressure and win the double championship of sales and profitability. This remarkable honor is inseparable from the comprehensive and profound self-reform and evolution of Sinotruk.
In the past few years, Tan Xuguang has carried out drastic market-oriented reforms in Sinotruk, which involves increasing assessment and incentives, reducing procurement costs and transparent management, strengthening cost control, and accelerating the divestiture of auxiliary businesses. In Tan Xuguang's first year in charge of Sinotruk (2018), Sinotruk's annual sales revenue exceeded 100 billion yuan for the first time, and vehicle sales exceeded 300,000 for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 14%. In the second year (2019), China National Heavy Duty Truck Group sold 296,200 vehicles, with an operating income of 116.7 billion yuan and a profit of 5.790 billion yuan, setting a new historical record for the year.
In the third year (2020), Tan Xuguang led SINOTRUK to overcome difficulties all the way, reaching the peak of annual output of 500,000 vehicles, and the operating indicators surpassed the whole year of 2019, reaching the best level in more than 90 years.
In the fourth year (2021), the heavy truck market in 2021 will be as thrilling and exciting as a roller coaster. After entering July, the sales volume has been "halved" almost every month. China National Heavy Duty Truck is bucking the trend under the influence of the environment, starting from the second half of 2021. It won the championship every month, and the position of heavy trucks rose to the second place in the industry. The export exceeded 50,000 vehicles, and it continued to maintain the first place in the country.
