On July 29, 2022, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation's Engineering Construction Project Tendering and Bidding Management Information Network released the results of the technical consultation, review and evaluation of the survey and design process of 9 expressway construction projects including the expansion of the Sichuan border of the Suining-Chongqing Expressway. The Sichuan Provincial Highway Planning, Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. won the bid, the ZX2 section Sichuan Transportation Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. won the bid, and the ZX3 section Sichuan Highway Engineering Consulting and Supervision Co., Ltd. won the bid.

Suining-Chongqing Expressway Expansion in Sichuan

The route is planned to start from the Osmanthus Interchange of Chengnan Expressway, and form a cross-hub interconnection with Chengnan Expressway and Suihui Expressway. The route will be expanded along the original Suining-Chongqing Expressway, passing through Chuanshan District, Economic Development Zone, High-tech Zone, Anju District, and ending in Sichuan. The Shufangba in the boundary of Chongqing Province is connected to the expanded Chongqing section of the Suining-Chongqing Expressway. The total length of the route is about 46.4 kilometers. Zigong to Yongchuan Sichuan Expressway

The route is planned to start from Xianshi Town, Yantan District, Zigong City, passing through Xindian Town, Niufo Town, Huilong Town, Fushun Qilong Town, Da'an District, Huangjia Town, Xiangshi Town, Shengdeng Town, and Hujia Town, Longchang City, Neijiang City , Yunding Town, Jin'e Street, Shiyanqiao Town, Jiaming Town, Lu County, Luzhou City, Yusi Town, ending near Yufeng Village, Fangdong Town, and connecting Zigong to Yongchuan Expressway Chongqing section. The total length of the route is about 57.1 kilometers. The route is planned to start near Shiyan Village, Paifang Township, Dazhu County, connect with Baomao Expressway, and extend westward to connect with G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway double-track expressway, passing through Shuangkouzhai, Honghua Village, Guanjia Village, Gaoxue Town, Laochangba, Ronghua Village, crosses Tongluo Mountain, passes Xinfeng Village, Tongjia Village, Dalingjiagou, Yuzhu Village, connects with Chengxuan-Dalin Expressway, crosses Mingyue Mountain, and connects with Dianfengwu Expressway at the provincial boundary between Sichuan and Chongqing. S48 Line Leshan to Yingjing Expressway

The route is planned to start in Mouzi Town, Central District, Leshan City, and connect the planned Zizhong to the end of the Leshan Expressway project, and cross the planned Tianmei-Le Expressway. The route passes through Ganjiang Town and Shuangfu Town, Qiliping Town and Wawushan Town in Hongya County, Wangyu Town in Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Qinglong Township in Yingjing County, and crosses with Yaxi Expressway and connects to the planned Tianfu New Area via Qionglai to Yingjing Expressway. The total length of the route is about 100.5 kilometers. It is proposed to adopt the two-way four-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 80/100km/h and a subgrade width of 25.5/26m. The project consists of the main line and the Baoxing branch line. The main line is planned to start at Kongming Street, Qionglai City, and then connect to the Tianqiong Expressway under construction and connect with the Qiongming Expressway. Qinglong Town, Yingjing County, is connected to the planned Leying Expressway and Yaxi Expressway, with a total length of about 104.8 kilometers. The route is planned to start from Sangjiapo, connect to the Chongqing section of the G85 Yinkun Expressway to be renovated and expanded, pass through Shinian Town and Jieshi Town in Longchang City, Yongxing Town, Shunhe Town and Tianjia Town in Dongxing District, Neijiang City; The Neijiang City Transit Expressway is reconstructed and expanded to Shuangcai Hub; through Fuxi Town, Dongxing District, Neijiang City, Sujiawan Town, Chonglong Town, Shuanglong Town, Zizhong County, Shiling Town, Kanjia Town, Wuhu Town, Yanjiang District, Ziyang City Huang Town, Dongfeng Town, Baotai Town, Baohe Town, Laojun Town, crossing the Tuojiang River and passing through Xinshi Street, Jianyang City, Chengdu; using the existing G76 Expressway for reconstruction and expansion, passing through Shiqiao Street, Shipan Street to Dabaoshi The hub is interconnected; it ends at Gaodong and connects to the Chengdu east-west axis urban road under construction, with a total length of about 189.6 kilometers. The route is planned to start from the interchange between the two ancient cities, connect to the Shaxi Expressway, cross the Qingbai River to Taipingchang, pass Guanjianian, Yuanjia Alley, Lanjia Alley, Lichun Town, Huabei, and Mutou River, on the east side of Guihua Town. The Osmanthus hub is set up to connect with the G0511 Chengdu Economic Zone Ring Line High Speed; the route continues northwards through Shimen Village and Cifeng Town, and ends at Tongji Town after crossing the Jianjiang River. Chengdu to Wenchuan Expressway Pengzhou to Wenchuan Section

The route is planned to start in Tongji Town, Pengzhou City, and connect with the end point of the Chengdu-Pengzhou section of the Chengdu-Wenchuan section of the expressway. The route proceeds in the northwest direction, crossing the Jinjiang River Valley twice, passing Xiaoyudong, Longmenshan Town, and crossing Longmen.
