On the morning of August 3, 2022, Lianyungang District held a centralized signing event for major projects in the new energy industry. A total of 3 major projects were signed, including Lianyungang Pumped Storage Power Station, CNNC Tianwan 2 million kilowatts of tidal flat photovoltaics, and Lianyungang Offshore Wind Power Industry Cluster. The investment is over 10 billion yuan, and the total investment is 43.7 billion yuan. City leaders Hu Jianjun and Yang Xinzhong attended the event.

During the signing activity, the People's Government of Lianyung District and Jiangsu Guoxin Lianyungang Power Generation Co., Ltd., CNNC Jiangsu New Energy Co., Ltd., China Power Construction New Energy Group Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Penos Transmission Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Signed cooperation agreements on cooperation in wind power and wind power equipment manufacturing and other fields. These new energy projects are large in scale, high in technical content, strong in driving ability and promising in development. They will further help the development of the whole chain of new energy industry in Lianyun District and accelerate the creation of a new highland for new energy innovation and development.

In the next step, Lianyun District will make every effort to promote the 2 million kilowatt tidal flat photovoltaic power generation project of CNNC Tianwan to start construction in the third quarter, the pumped storage power station project will be approved within this year, the offshore wind power industry cluster project will speed up the preliminary work, and the service guarantee Tianwan Nuclear Power No. 7 and 8 Unit construction, and speed up the building of an internationally renowned new energy industry base.
