The government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to start paving the 595km Ganges Highway by the end of September, one of the largest public-private partnership projects in India. The $4.5 billion six-lane road is being implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Highways Industrial Development Authority and will be built and maintained by Indian road specialists IRB Infrastructure and Adani Enterprise Group.
UPEIDA chairman Awanish Awasthi said the project has completed nearly 60 percent of the clean-up and clean-up. We have obtained environmental and forest permits. Construction companies have established offices. Physical work on the ground will begin on September 30. When completed in 2024, the road will stretch from the city of Meerut in northeast New Delhi to Allahabad in the south of the state.
