On August 12, 2022, the website of the Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the approval for the feasibility study report on the Yongshan-Yanjin Expressway project.

Yongyan Expressway

It is understood that the main line of the Yongshan-Yanjin Expressway project is 83.331 kilometers long, of which 3.82 kilometers of the G85 Yinkun Expressway will be used, the 11.2 kilometers of the new section from Qinglongzui to Shuitian of the Zhaotong-Leshan Expressway will be used, and the new section will be 68.311 kilometers. The line starts from the south of Yongshan County, connects G4216 Yibin New City to Panzhihua Section Expressway Leibokahalo to Yongshan Connection Line, and ends at Hekou Village, Niuzhai Township, Yanjin County (junction of Yunnan and Sichuan), and connects The planned Sichuan Junlian to Xuyong Expressway.

The main line is constructed according to the standard of two-way four-lane expressway, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a roadbed width of 25.5 meters. The bridge and culvert design vehicle load level adopts highway-I level, and other technical indicators are implemented in accordance with the "Highway Engineering Technical Standards" (JTG B01-2014). The estimated total investment of the project is about 16.512 billion yuan.

The main control points are Yongshan County, Mugan Town, Zhonghe Town, Yanjin County, and Niuzhai Township. There are 51 bridges and 13 tunnels on the main line. There are 3 interchanges in total, including 1 hub interchange and 2 ordinary interchanges. A total of 3 connecting lines are set up, with a total length of 9.85 kilometers, of which the wooden pole interconnection line is 1.75 kilometers long. The standard construction of the third-class highway, the design speed is 30 km/h, and the width of the roadbed is 7.5 meters; Highway standard construction, the design speed is 20 km/h, and the roadbed width is 6.5 meters; the length of the Dunhou Interconnection Line is 2.3 kilometers.
