At the 2022 International Standardization Conference held on August 20, 2022, the International Electrotechnical Commission proposed that China should lead the formulation of the world's first international standard framework system for key technologies of new power systems, accelerate the construction of new power systems, and promote clean and low-carbon energy transformation.
According to the International Electrotechnical Commission, China's new energy installed capacity and power generation have been the world's largest for many years, and the industrial scale and market scale of wind power, photovoltaics, and lithium batteries have ranked first in the world.
At present, the International Electrotechnical Commission is including China's proposed carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, energy transition, zero-carbon power system and other topics into its strategic plan. In the next five years, it will initiate the establishment of one or two new technology committees in the field of low-carbon energy. , cultivate 10 to 20 international standards.
Shu Yinbiao, Chairman of the International Electrotechnical Commission and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering: The international standardization work has entered a new period of development, and the dual-carbon goal proposed by China has been highly praised by the international community. The development focus of China's international standardization is to form a complete standard system in terms of technical standards, measurement and certification, and establish fair and reasonable international carbon governance rules around the dual carbon goals and major needs.Editor/Ma Xue
