Chuxiong to Jingdong Expressway

According to reports, the Chuxiong-Jingdong Expressway is a key construction project included in the Yunnan Provincial Expressway Interconnection Project and the 14th Five-Year Comprehensive Transportation Development Plan of Yunnan Province. It is also a new expressway linking Chuxiong Prefecture and Pu'er City. The starting point of the main line of the project is located on the north side of Ziwu Town, Chuxiong City, and it is connected to the southeast ring expressway of Chuxiong City, and connects G8012 Yuxi to Chuxiong Expressway through the Meridian Hub; the end point of the route is located on the south side of Wenlong Township, Jingdong County, Pu'er City. Set up a hub interchange to connect Nanjian to Jingdong Expressway. The main line is 101.224 kilometers in length (77.527 kilometers in Chuxiong City, Chuxiong Prefecture, and 23.697 kilometers in Jingdong County, Pu'er City), with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour and four lanes in both directions. The total investment of the approved project is 24.214 billion yuan (18.933 billion yuan for the Chuxiong section and 5.281 billion yuan for the Pu'er section).

The construction of the Chuxiong-Jingdong Expressway project will promote the development of transportation infrastructure in Yunnan Province, build a highway network with reasonable layout, complete functions, extensive coverage and interconnection, accelerate regional integration into the construction strategy of the Belt and Road and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation, It is of great significance to promote national unity and so on.
