On the evening of August 20, 2022, with the completion of the hoisting and matching of the non-axial connecting device in the middle of the bridge span, it was invested and constructed by Hubei Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd., undertaken by the Second Aviation Administration of China Communications Construction, and designed by Hubei Provincial Communications Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. The world's largest span ground-anchored composite beam cable-stayed bridge - Danjiangkou Reservoir Bridge was successfully closed.
The Danjiangkou Reservoir Bridge is a control project of the Hubei section of Shixi-Xi Expressway and crosses the Danjiangkou Reservoir, the source of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The bridge has a total length of 1076 meters and a main span of 760 meters. The bridge composite beam is divided into 9 types and 48 segments.
The central non-axial force connection device installed this time is the mid-span of the whole bridge. It consists of four "core beams" inside two "large box beams" in the south and north. The box beam on one side is 6.7 meters long and 31.6 meters wide. , 3.8 meters high, together with the internal guide beam weighing 440 tons.
The Hubei section of Shixi Expressway has a total length of 41.079 kilometers and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. After the project is completed, it will become an inter-provincial expressway between Hubei and Henan that runs from north to south, connecting five major scenic spots including Luoyang Laojun Mountain, Danjiangkou Reservoir, Wudang Mountain and Shennongjia.Editor/Ma Xue
