Recently, a symposium on ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin along the Yellow River and Nine Provinces was held in Qingdao. The transportation authorities have conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on transportation serving the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, accelerating the interconnection of transportation infrastructure along the Yellow River Basin, and building a mechanism for consultation between transportation authorities in various provinces and regions along the Yellow River.

At the meeting, the main responsible comrades of the Department of Transportation of the Yellow River and Nine Provinces jointly issued the "Joint Declaration on Accelerating Interconnection and Promoting the Ecological Protection and High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin", proposing to focus on building an integrated comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network along the Yellow River and jointly building the East Link Day. An international logistics channel connecting South Korea and Asia to Europe in the west; strengthen the three-dimensional interconnection with the transportation infrastructure network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta region, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and establish a transportation coordination mechanism along the Yellow and Nine Provinces , to promote the sharing of talents, resources and information.

The Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation formulated the "14th Five-Year Plan for Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of Transportation in the Yellow River Basin", clearly focusing on the implementation of the "three major projects" of large passages, large hubs and large networks to build a green transportation system. Among them, the large channel refers to the land-sea linkage of Shandong along the Yellow River Basin and the locational advantages of the eastern coastal opening to the outside world to form a land-sea channel of the Yellow River Basin "connecting Japan and South Korea in the east and Europe and Asia in the west".

Shandong will build a multi-level and integrated cluster of comprehensive transportation hubs along the Yellow River, and build a comprehensive transportation hub integrating the Yellow River Basin with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta; continue to improve the layout of high-speed railways and expressways along the Yellow River, and accelerate the construction of comprehensive transportation in the Yellow River Basin Integrate a large network, improve the connection efficiency with the inter-provincial exports of the provinces along the Yellow River, and accelerate the construction of the "fast-forward roaming" road network system of the Yellow River National Cultural Park.
