Avaada to invest $5 billion to build green hydrogen, ammonia plants in India

Avaada Group will invest approximately US$5 billion to build an integrated green hydrogen and ammonia plant with its own renewable energy capacity in Rajasthan, India. The annual production capacity of the green synthetic ammonia plant is 1 million tons

The company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government on the proposed investment. Avaada Group senior executive vice president Ravi Verma said the company will build around 6 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity for its own green hydrogen and ammonia plants to consume. Renewable energy capacity will be present at various locations in Rajasthan.

Avaada aims to reach 11 GW by 2025 and 30 GW by 2030. It plans to scale up its PV manufacturing to 10 gigawatts by 2030 and integrate backwards into polysilicon, ingots and wafers.Editor/XingWentao
