Inner Mongolia is one of the most abundant regions in China in terms of technically exploitable wind energy and solar energy resources. The latest wind and solar resources census data show that the autonomous region's new energy technology can develop about 1 billion kilowatts.

Inner Mongolia's wind energy resources account for about 57% of China's total wind energy resources, and solar energy resources account for about 21% of China's total solar energy resources. In recent years, Inner Mongolia has made great efforts to promote the high-quality development of the new energy industry, and a large number of large-scale and high-tech new energy projects have been implemented in Inner Mongolia. Alxa League will implement 24 new energy projects in 2022, with an installed capacity of 3.76 million kilowatts. It is expected that 17 projects will be connected to the grid for power generation within the year.

At present, the new energy grid-connected installed capacity of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is 57 million kilowatts. The state has planned the first batch of large-scale new energy base projects in Inner Mongolia of 20.2 million kilowatts and the second batch of large-scale new energy base projects of 11.88 million kilowatts. By the end of 2030, the first batch of large-scale new energy base projects will be completed and connected to the grid.Editor/Ma Xue
