Tel Aviv subway network plan to be completed and released by the end of the year

Based on the light rail network currently under construction, Tel Aviv, Israel, announced in December 2018 the first 145 km subway network plan, which will be completed by the end of 2020.

The network will serve 100 sites through 23 local authorities.

Plans to connect Holon, Petakh-Tikva and north-south M1 north-south M1 will be handed over to various planning committees by the end of March 2020. Israel's National Infrastructure Council aims to start operations in 2030, but given the scale of the project, this has been described as too ambitious.

The M1 line is expected to be 44 kilometers long, with 31 stations from Holon to Rehovot, including Tel-Giborim, Asaf Harofe Medical Center, Weitzmann Institute, Kaplan Medical Center and Bilu Center.

The semi-circular M3 line is expected to be 38 kilometers long from Hertzliya to Bat-Yam, with 24 stations including Pi-Glilot, Asuta Ramat · Asuta Ramat Hakhayal Medical Center, Sheba Medical Center and Yosftal.

On September 26, 2019, China State Construction International, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering, and Tel Aviv Metropolitan Rail Transit Co., Ltd. (NTA) signed an EPC contract for the Tel Aviv Green Line G3-2 subway project with a contract value of approximately US $ 517 million. Ministry of Finance.

The project is located in the city center of Tel Aviv, Israel. It belongs to the three important livelihood projects of the Red Line, Green Line and Purple Line of the Israeli government's urban transport planning. The green line has a total length of 38.5 kilometers (34 kilometers above ground and 4.5 kilometers underground), of which the G3-2 section is the underground part of the green line, including 5.7 kilometers of shield tunnel construction (full length of the two lines), 2 ground access sections, 1 Underground stations and 3 underground station outer boxes.
