Egyptian real estate developer GV Developments has signed a memorandum of understanding with Egis to develop Tarboul Industrial City in Giza, Egypt. The project will cover an area of more than 109 million square meters, with each area designed to serve the purpose of sustainable production; a green, smart, livable industrial city that is the center of Egypt's business and trade.

The MoU was signed by Sherif Hammouda of Sameh Atalla, chairman of GV Developments and managing director of Egis Egypt, Egis said in a statement. It is a framework cooperation agreement between the two entities covering several different real estate and hotel projects and several activities. In July 2022, Rosatom said it had started site work on Egypt's first nuclear power plant.

Hammouda commented, "We are delighted to partner with Egis and their extensive experience in multiple areas of engineering consulting and project management across all engineering disciplines. Involving Egis in the Tarboul Industrial City project reflects the project's appeal as Egypt's first sustainable smart industrial city.

GV Developments is responsible for several large-scale projects across the country, including White Sands, Times Square Port Said and Tarboul Industrial City. The company also said it is involved in multiple waste-to-energy projects. Sameh Atalla said, "We believe this partnership marks the beginning of a successful collaborative journey that has had a positive impact on the Egyptian economy." GV development's vision for Egypt's future is in line with Egis' ambition to create solutions for a green and sustainable future on a global scale. Keywords: engineering news, overseas news
