Recently, TISCO, a subsidiary of China Baowu, successfully won the bid for the Tana Lake Hydropower Station project in Nepal. The rotors of the two hydro-generator sets are all made of high-grade yoke steel from Taiyuan Iron and Steel.

Nepal Tana Lake Hydropower Project

The project is located in Tana Lake County, 150 kilometers west of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It is designed and installed with two generator sets with a power of 70MW, with a total installed capacity of 140MW. It is another overseas large-scale hydropower project undertaken by POWERCHINA. The project was jointly financed and developed by institutions such as the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

In the future, once the power station is completed, it will effectively increase the total capacity of power generation equipment in Nepal to about 113% of the existing capacity, ease the shortage of power supply in the famous tourist city of Pokhara, and will drive a large number of investment funds to enter Pokhara, which will be a major source of investment in the region. All the way and Nepal's economic development, make a solid power guarantee. Editor/He Yuting
