On September 6, 2022, the GCL Huidong Jiangsu Rudong LNG Terminal Project officially landed on the Sunshine Island of Yangkou Port, Nantong, Jiangsu and held its foundation stone laying.

The project is the first LNG receiving terminal industry matrix in China that integrates multiple businesses and functions such as LNG unloading and storage, gas-liquid export, shipping and transshipment, etc. The whole industry chain of receiving, storage and terminal application.

According to the on-site introduction of the person in charge of the project, the total investment of the first phase of the project is about 5 billion yuan. It is planned to build 1 LNG ship unloading terminal, 1 ship loading terminal, 2 LNG storage tanks with a volume of 200,000 cubic meters, and supporting process and public works facilities. , the construction scale has reached an annual processing capacity of 4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and it is planned to be put into operation in mid-2025.

It is understood that the project will support the construction of a loading dock including two berths, which can accommodate a maximum of 40,000 cubic meters of LNG ships, which can effectively radiate and serve the entire Yangtze River Basin.
