Recently, the environmental impact report of the Fengjie Rapeseed Dam Pumped-storage Power Station prepared by the Shanghai Institute of the Three Gorges Group has been approved by the Fengjie County Ecological Environment Bureau of Chongqing City. This is the first large-scale pumped-storage power station EIA project completed by the Shanghai Institute in recent years.
Fengjie Raisei Dam Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Xinglong Town and Fengping Township, Fengjie County, Chongqing City. It is mainly composed of upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water delivery system, power plant, resettlement and special reconstruction projects, with a total installed capacity of 1200 MW, which has been included in the medium and long-term development plan of the National Energy Administration for pumped storage. After the completion of the power station, it will mainly supply power to Chongqing power grid, and undertake the functions of peak regulation, valley filling, frequency regulation, phase regulation, energy storage and emergency backup of Chongqing power grid.
After the Fengjie Raisei Dam Pumped Storage Power Station is completed, it can provide 912 million kWh of peak electricity every year, save about 221,000 tons of coal consumption, and reduce about 442,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It has good ecological and environmental benefits. The project construction has many contents, a long period and a wide range of coverage. The EIA project team has comprehensively and meticulously demonstrated the planning compliance and environmental rationality of the project construction from different angles. On the basis of the impact demonstration report of the germplasm resource reserve, the special report on terrestrial ecology, the special report on groundwater, etc., focus on analyzing the impact of project construction and operation on the ecological environment and sensitive targets, and optimize the project plan according to the results of the impact analysis, and formulate detailed environmental A conservation measure plan that provides solutions for reducing and mitigating adverse environmental impacts to achieve the unification of social, economic and environmental benefits.
