On September 18, 2022, the last jacket of the Seagreen Offshore Wind Power Project (hereinafter referred to as "Seagreen Project") undertaken by COOEC Zhuhai Site was delivered and set sail at the Gaolan Port Wharf, marking the world's deepest suction tubular offshore wind power All 34 sets of jackets for the project were delivered.
It is reported that the Seagreen project is located 27 kilometers off the coast of Angus in eastern Scotland, with a water depth of about 53 to 58 meters. It is the largest fixed-bottom offshore wind farm in Scotland and the deepest in the world. After full operation, it will generate about 500 billion watt-hours of renewable energy annually. , providing enough clean electricity for around two-thirds of Scotland's households.
The first phase of the Seagreen project includes the construction of 114 wind turbines and related power transmission facilities. COOEC-Fluor Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of COOEC, has undertaken the construction of 34 sets of wind power jackets, with a total weight of about 70,000 tons, equivalent to about 10 Eiffel Tower steel structure weight. The total height of the jacket delivered this time exceeds 93 meters, which is equivalent to the height of a 33-story residential building, and functions as the "base" and "supporting legs" of the wind farm.Editor/Ma Xue
