It is understood that the investment of the project is 37.42 billion yuan and the construction period is 4 years. Jinan high-speed railway line is located in the northern part of the Shandong Peninsula city group. It leads from Jinan East Station, the hub of Jinan, and goes north to Licheng District, Yaoqiang Airport and Zhangqiu District in South Economic City, and crosses Jiyang District and Shanghe County in South Yellow River Economic City. , eastwards through Huimin County and Bincheng District of Binzhou City, and connect to the newly built Tianjin-Weihai High-speed Railway Binzhou Station High-speed Railway Station. The total length of the main line is 145.299km, of which 90.521km is in Jinan City, 54.778km in Binzhou City, and the design speed is 350 kilometers per hour. The project has 7 new bridges and 2 tunnels. The total length of bridges and tunnels is 136.693km, accounting for 94.08% of the total length of the line.

There are 6 stations in Jinan East, Yaoqiang Airport, Jiyang, Shanghe, Huimin and Binzhou, and 2 line stations in Xiaoxujia and Dongqijia. Among them, Jinan East and Binzhou are the existing stations and the rest are newly built. station. Jiyang Highway and Railway Dual-purpose Yellow River Bridge, Airport Tunnel and Yaoqiang Airport Station are control projects of the whole line.

The Jinan-Binzhou high-speed rail project is an important part of the Shandong Express Railway Network Lubei Corridor and the Jinan Metropolitan Area Intercity Railway Network.
