As a veteran of the wind power industry, I have witnessed and witnessed the growth and responsibility of China's wind power. I have also realized my three dreams: installing hundreds of wind power generators in Dabancheng, manufacturing Chinese people's own wind turbines, and promoting Chinese wind turbines to the world. To realize the process of the three dream, it is China's wind power from the initial stumble to now own strength of a microcosm of China's wind power innovation drive, high speed development, the size, economy and reliability of environmental adaptation, equipment, industrial competitiveness to a new level of vivid interpretation, but also thousands of China wind power people stick to green dreams, True portrayal of the hard road ahead!

The energy embarrassment of big developing countries

China's dependence on energy imports has remained high. In 2021, China's total primary energy consumption reached 5.24 billion tons of standard coal, while its total primary energy production was 4.33 billion tons of standard coal, with net imports of 1.12 billion tons of standard coal, ranking first in the world. Among them, net imports of coal amounted to 310 million tons, oil to 480 million tons, and natural gas to 162 billion cubic meters, all ranking first in the world. Ensuring energy security is a daunting task.

China's speed creates wind power myth

China's wind power development started late, until the early stage of reform and opening up, the wind power field began to explore. In 2007, the market share of domestic wind power enterprises exceeded that of foreign investment for the first time. In 2010, China's newly added and accumulated installed capacity exceeded that of the United States for the first time, ranking the first in the world for 12 consecutive years since then. In 2021, China's installed capacity of wind power connected to the grid exceeded the 300 million kW mark, accounting for 40% of the world's installed wind power, creating the "myth" of the rise of wind power with "China speed".

China's wind power industry not only has the world's largest installed capacity, but also has a complete wind power industry chain covering wind resource evaluation, wind power plant development and construction, equipment manufacturing, technical services, testing and certification, investment and financing services, etc. At the same time, it has promoted the progress and breakthrough of material science and technology, test and inspection, large transport and other industries. Now it has become a large-scale emerging industry with an annual output value of more than 600 billion yuan and about 2.5 million employees.

From import to domestic innovation, China's wind power industry has emerged independently. The original piece of white paper has become a splendid picture, and the rice bowl of energy has been gradually held in our own hands.

Global leader in Chinese wind power

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's wind power industry has made remarkable achievements and played an increasingly prominent role in the world's new energy equipment pattern. Wind power has become one of the strategic high-end green equipment manufacturing industries in China participating in international competition, forming a complete wind power equipment manufacturing industry chain covering wind power development and construction, equipment manufacturing, technology research and development, testing and certification, and supporting services.

In the world's top 10 wind turbines ranking published by Bloomberg New Energy in 2021, Chinese wind turbine manufacturers have occupied six seats. As the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturing base, China has accounted for more than 50% of the global market share in the production of wind turbine parts and complete machines, and 70% of the global market share in the production of key parts. The position of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturer continues to consolidate and strengthen.

The sustained, healthy and rapid development of China's wind power industry will provide important support for the global response to climate change and energy transformation. Relying on the advantages of the whole industrial chain to promote the construction of green energy practice projects, not only provide direct economic benefits and jobs for countries along the Belt and Road, but also inject impetus into local energy structure transformation and carbon emission reduction, and contribute China's wind power wisdom and strength to global sustainable development.

Chinese wind power for the future

Facing the future, China's wind power has huge potential for development. Under the guidance of the "double carbon" target, low-carbon development has become the trend in the domestic market. Offshore wind power has emerged as a new force in the world, and will further scale up to take on the historic mission of helping achieve the "double carbon" goal.

China's wind power "going out" has contributed to the global energy transformation. According to the statistics of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of China Renewable Energy Society, by the end of 2021, China's wind power units have been exported to 42 countries and regions, and a total of 3,614 wind power units have been exported, with a cumulative capacity of 9.642 million kW.

Green power lights up a zero-carbon future. China's wind power industry is actively expanding more development paths to help all sectors of society achieve green and low carbon transformation and the "double carbon" goal.

Achieving the "double carbon" goal will not be achieved overnight. It will require scientific methods and strenuous efforts. In this long run, the CPPCC and its members provided advice and advice through surveys, discussions and proposals, and continued to contribute their wisdom and strength to the realization of the "double carbon" goal. Chinese wind power companies are also stepping forward to create more cost-effective zero-carbon products and solutions through innovation, helping all sectors of society to achieve low-carbon development and build a sustainable and better future.
