Recently, a ceremony was held at the site of Tuanzhuangling ecological Restoration and high-standard farmland construction project in Lanzhou New District, where key ecological construction projects of Lanxi City Group Gansu area in the Yellow River Basin will be started in 2022.

It is understood that Lanzhou New Area has started a total of 20 ecological projects, the total investment of more than 10 billion yuan, the annual planned investment of 3 billion yuan. The site project of the groundbreaking ceremony is the first phase of the Demonstration Park of Water Conservation for Ecological Restoration of the Upper reaches of the Yellow River -- Tuanzhuangling Ecological Restoration and High-standard farmland construction project. The project covers an area of 483 hectares, including 407 hectares of land development and consolidation and 76 hectares of high-standard farmland renovation. The main construction contents include land leveling, soil improvement, field roads, irrigation and drainage, farmland protection and ecological environment preservation, etc. After the completion of the project, 333 hectares of arable land and 92 hectares of green space will be added to effectively improve the ecological environment in the region and further expand the development space of Lanzhou New Area. It is of great significance to protect and restore the water conservation area of the upper reaches of the Yellow River and the ecological environment of the Qilian Mountains, and promote the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.

The construction of the Lanxi city cluster is an important measure to implement the strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin. Since 2022, Lanzhou New Area has planned and implemented 83 key ecological construction projects in the Lancxi City cluster along the Yellow River Basin with a total investment of 55 billion yuan, taking ecological restoration and governance as a breakthrough point. So far, 36 projects have been started and a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan has been completed. Among them, 10 key projects were included in the provincial ecological construction project bank of Gansu area of Lanxi City Group in the Yellow River basin, with a total investment of nearly 30 billion yuan, providing strong support for the ecological construction of Gansu area of Lanxi City group.
