As an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway, Shenzhen-jiang high-speed railway is a major transport infrastructure supporting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is the first fast railway linking the core cities of the Pearl River Delta with western Guangdong, which is of great significance to the rapid development and economic revitalization of the Greater Bay Area.

The total length of the main line of the new Shenzhen-Jiangmen railway project is 116.309 kilometers, including 69 kilometers of Bridges and 45 kilometers of tunnels. The main line of the bid section is about 4.302km in length, located on both sides of the East Station of Shenzhen Airport. The main works are temporary land acquisition of 208.93mu, road bridge replacement of 800 square meters, single hole single line shield tunnel 2918m, open tunnel 1490m, the whole line of ballast bed 27.366km, signal grounding 4.302km, drainage 4.302km.
