On Oct 13, 2022, the commencement ceremony of the service capacity improvement project of Guangxi ordinary national and provincial trunk Road, a new land-sea corridor in western China, was held in Nanning. With a total investment of about 5.7 billion yuan, the project with the largest amount of foreign investment in Guangxi officially started construction.

According to the introduction, as an important project to deepen the construction of the new land-sea corridor in the west, the service capacity improvement project of Guangxi ordinary national and provincial trunk road has three highlights: first, it is the project with the largest amount of foreign capital loan in Guangxi; The second is the first domestic use of international financial organization loan to implement the maintenance project; The third is the first project of the New Development Bank to adopt the Sustainable Development Lending model (SDL model) in China.

The project mainly includes provincial road S215 Pingguo to Longan via Tuowan Highway, S304 Tenxian Mengjiang to Pingnan Danzhu Highway, S514 Nanning Jiangxi to Tanluo highway, S302 Fuchuan Liujia to Pingle Ertang (Hezhou section) and other 4 projects of nearly 100 km highway network construction technology grade upgrading project; National Road G322 Ruian to Youyiguan road surface major repair and "Zhuangmei road" special enhancement of road surface service capacity improvement project; Four projects, including continuous long and steep downhill sections, geological disasters, bridge protection, and lack of highway marking, are included as well as capacity building and consulting service projects for project management institutions.
