On the morning of October 15, 2022, the first M701J gas turbine in China was completed in Dongfang Turbine and Gas Turbine Assembly Plant, a DEC subsidiary.

For the M701J gas turbine completed this time, the inlet temperature of the gas turbine exceeds 1600 ℃, the combined cycle efficiency exceeds 64%, and the NOx emission concentration is lower than 50mg/Nm ³， Based on 4000 hours of operation per year, 1.6 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced compared with coal-fired power plants of the same capacity in one year. It is a gas turbine product with leading performance in the world.

Guangfa Pearl River Project is a key construction project for energy security in Guangzhou during the 14th Five Year Plan period. It is equipped with two sets of "one driven one" single shaft gas steam combined cycle units composed of M701J gas turbines. After the completion of the project, it will further enhance the peak shaving capacity and safety reliability of the power grid in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and help the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area achieve the "dual carbon" goal.Editor/Ma Xue
