On October 18, 2022, Guizhou Transportation Department released the public announcement of the successful candidates in the social capital bidding for the Guiyang-Pingtang section of G7522 Guiyang to Beihai Expressway. Guizhou Transportation Construction Group Co., LTD and other 10 units won the bidding, with a total investment of about 38.738 billion yuan.

Project overview

The project route starts from Yangchang Town, Wudang District, Guiyang, connects with the completed G7521 Chongqing to Guiyang Expressway, passes through Guiyang, Longli and Pingtang, ends at Yunyang Pass, Sizhai Town, Pingtang County, and connects with the Tiane to Beihai Expressway project under construction, with a total length of about 175.7 kilometers. The whole line set up Baiyi north, Baiyi South, Xiaba, Xima, Lubeihe, Sanyuan, Shan North, Shan South, Changming, Wan Tan River, Yunwu, Zhangbu, Gudong, Jingzhou, Pingtang, Pingtang south, Zhimi and Sizhai, a total of 18 interchange type. The construction of 8 mutual connection lines totaling 66.08 kilometers, as well as necessary traffic works and facilities along the lines will be synchronized.

The technical standards

The whole line adopts expressway standard construction, with a design speed of 100 km/h. Among them, the interchange section from the starting point to the north Baiyi hub was rebuilt and expanded into a two-way eight-lane standard construction with a width of 41 meters by using the existing Guoweng expressway, which is about 4.9 kilometers long. Baiyi North Junction interchange to the end of the section about 170.8 kilometers is a new construction, using two-way six-lane standard construction, roadbed width of 33.5 meters. Among interchange connection lines, in principle, except the three-way junction connection line adopts the standard of first-level highway, the other connection lines adopt the standard of second-level highway. The vehicle load grade for the design of all Bridges and culverts shall be highway grade I, and other technical indexes shall comply with the provisions in Highway Engineering and Technical Standards (JTG B01-2014).
