On October 26, 2022, the signing ceremony of the Yeshan Pumped Storage Power Station Project in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province was held in the Nanjing Liuhe District Government. The Third Hydroelectric Bureau signed the Framework Agreement on Investment and Development of Nanjing Yeshan Pumped Storage Power Station Project with Nanjing Liuhe District Government.

The project is located in Yeshan Iron Mine Area, Yeshan Town, Liuhe District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, 22 kilometers away from the urban area of Liuhe City. The installed capacity of the power station is initially planned to be 800000 kilowatts, the annual generating capacity of the project is initially planned to be 1.34 billion kilowatt hours, and the annual pumping capacity is initially planned to be 1.787 billion kilowatt hours. The water head is about 314 meters, and the regulating capacity of the upper and lower reservoirs is 5.84 million cubic meters.

The project fully implements the ecological development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", eliminates geological hazards in the mining area, recovers the ecological environment, and improves the safety and stability of regional power grid operation, which is conducive to the clean and low-carbon development of the energy structure in Yeshan District, helps the economic development and industrial upgrading of Liuhe District in Nanjing, and creates a new engine for green and high-quality development.
