The current international situation is complex and volatile, and the oil market fluctuates. However, safe and reliable oil supply is crucial to global economic stability. Recently, Lian Weiliang, Vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Prince Abdulaziz al-Saud, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, co-chaired by video the fourth meeting of the China-Saudi Arabia high-level Joint Committee on the Belt and Road Initiative, Major Investment and cooperation Projects and the Energy Sub-Committee. The two sides had a comprehensive and in-depth exchange of views and reached broad consensus on the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Vision 2030, energy cooperation, major investment cooperation projects and the Digital Silk Road. After the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes.

The areas of cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia continue to expand

Lian said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, bilateral cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results with numerous highlights since the third meeting of the sub-committees. Progress has been made in synergizing the Belt and Road Initiative with Vision 2030. Positive progress has been made in major investment cooperation projects, energy cooperation has served as a ballast stone, and cooperation on the Digital Silk Road has made steady progress. Going forward, the two sides need to further synergize their development strategies, steadily expand production capacity and investment cooperation, upgrade energy cooperation and strengthen digital economy cooperation, so as to elevate the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level and bring benefits to the two peoples.

Abdulazeez warmly congratulated the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and said Saudi Arabia is willing to continue to be China's largest energy partner and deepen cooperation in oil trade. We will actively align the Belt and Road Initiative with Vision 2030 and expand practical cooperation in industries, transportation, big data and artificial intelligence. Jointly promote hydrogen energy cooperation and create new highlights in China-Saudi Arabia energy cooperation. We hope that relevant Chinese departments and companies will go to Saudi Arabia to discuss specific cooperation issues.
