From November 5 to 10, 2022, the Fifth China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai, and all preparations have been basically completed. At the press conference of the 5th China International Import Expo held in the morning of November 1, 2022, relevant leaders of the Bureau introduced the preparations for the 5th China International Import Expo and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.

A wider range of participating countries

145 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the Expo. Enterprises from 127 countries and regions participated in the enterprise business exhibition, and 66 countries and 3 international organizations appeared in the national comprehensive exhibition, with the number exceeding that of the previous session.

All the member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) participated in the exhibition, and the number of countries along the the Belt and Road and SCO participating countries also increased compared with the previous session.

Nicaragua, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, Mozambique, DRC, Iraq and Iceland will participate in the national exhibition for the first time.

More abundant display contents

The Expo will set up a new crop seed industry zone and an artificial intelligence zone, optimize the energy low-carbon and environmental protection technology zone, expand the innovation incubation zone, and display more than 150 start-ups in the fields of technical equipment, consumer goods, medical care, automobile, etc.

A new comprehensive exhibition area of "China's Ten Years - Opening up Achievements Exhibition" has been set up, including achievements zones, provincial, district and municipal zones, and "exhibitors become investors" zones, to comprehensively display the brilliant achievements of China's opening up in the new era.

The Expo Culture Exhibition Center has been built, and the normalized panorama presents the wonderful moments, preparation process and achievements of the Expo.

Better quality of exhibitors' exhibits

A total of 284 world top 500 companies and industry leaders participated in the enterprise exhibition, with the number exceeding that of the previous one and the return rate of nearly 90%.

The six exhibition areas will display hundreds of new products, new technologies and new services, including consumer goods and agricultural products focusing on a better life, as well as various high-end medical devices and technical equipment containing world leading technologies.

The proportion of special booth decoration reached 96.1%, higher than that of the previous session.

Digital Technology Enabling Exhibition

The national exhibition will continue to be held online, using augmented reality, real-time rendering and other technologies to display scientific and technological innovation, culture and art, investment environment and other contents of various countries.

In 2022, we will try to promote the "Digital Expo" exhibition platform for the first time, realize online exhibition of more than 300 exhibitors in the field of technology and equipment, and make full use of "cloud display, cloud release, cloud live broadcast, cloud negotiation" and other ways to improve the effectiveness of the exhibition.Editor/Ma Xue
