The construction of the Shenzhen Shantou high-speed railway project will be started at the end of November. The approved budget for the preliminary design of the project is 48.79 billion yuan.

Construction scale: The newly-built Shenzhen Shantou High speed Railway starts from Xili Station, a railway hub in Shenzhen, passes through Luohu, Pingshan, Huiyang and Huidong in Shenzhen, and connects to Shenzhen Shantou High speed Railway Station. The main line is 125.486 km long, with 39 bridges/25,994 linear meters and 18 tunnels/88,447 linear meters. The Xiamen Shenzhen interconnection line is 5.925 single line kilometers, and the Guangzhou Shantou interconnection line is 4.701 single line kilometers; The whole line is set with 6 stations and 2 line posts, as well as relevant reinforcement works in Xili Station comprehensive work area. Among them, the first project (Tanglang Mountain Tunnel Section) has a length of 13.887 km.
Main technical standards: railway grade; High speed railway. Number of main lines: double lines. Design speed: 350 km/h, 250 km/h from Xili to the north of Luohu.

Section division
The construction is planned to be divided into 8 sections, including 8 sections for station construction: SSSG-1~8 sections.
Key and difficult works in the bid section: SSSG-2, 3, 4 and 5.
The total length of Pingshan East Tunnel is 27.885km, of which the starting and ending mileage of the eastern section of Pingshan East Tunnel is DK51+230 ~ DK64+300, with a total length of 13070m. The section DK60+130 ~ DK64+300 crosses the urban area, using open cut method combined with shield construction. The section DK51+230 ~ DK60+130 is a mountain crossing tunnel, which is constructed by mining method, with a maximum burial depth of 224m; The west section of Pingshan East Tunnel starts from DK65+185 to DK80+000, with a total length of 14815m. It passes through the urban area and is constructed by open excavation combined with shield machine. The tunnel is composed of 9147.1m mine tunnel, 16720.5m shield tunnel, 1895m open cut tunnel and 122.4m working shaft.
The civil construction period of Pingshan Shandong Tunnel is 44 months. There are 2 construction inclined shafts and 5 construction vertical shafts, and 4 shield machines are required for construction.
Pingshan Station yard reconstruction project is a business line construction, which is classified as Grade II construction of high-speed railway.
SSSG-6, 7, 8 bid
Longgang Tunnel is 18191.489m long. The tunnel is mainly constructed by shield method. The 6757m section of DK93+283~DK100+040, the 2197.05m section of DK103+550~DK105+747.05, the 134.439m section of DK87+555.561~DK87+690 are constructed by mining method, and the remaining sections are constructed by shield method combined with open excavation method. The civil construction period is about 42.2 months. There are four construction inclined shafts and two construction vertical shafts, and a total of three shield machines are required for construction. The total length of Tanglang Mountain Tunnel is 19169.656m. The tunnel is composed of 15830m mine tunnel and 3339.656m shield tunnel. The civil construction period of Tanglang Mountain Tunnel is 35.3 months, and one earth pressure/TBM double mode shield machine is set.
Shenzhen Reservoir Bridge. The superstructure of this bridge is a 1 - (78.85+242+139+36.85) m double track cable-stayed bridge+4-32m double track cast-in-situ simply supported beam, with a total length of 639.02m.
