A total of 507 projects in the fourth quarter of 2022 began construction in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, on the morning of Nov 3, 2022. The groundbreaking activity was held through cloud video link in 23 counties and urban areas of Shijiazhuang, and the main venue was located at the project site of Tianyuan Biological Innovation Vaccine R&D and Industrialization Base in High-tech Zone.

Since 2022, Shijiazhuang has firmly implemented the important requirements of the CPC Central Committee to prevent and control the epidemic, stabilize the economy and ensure the safety of development, and coordinated the epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development in an efficient manner. Major economic indicators have maintained rapid growth, and the GDP growth rate of Shijiazhuang has been leading among 42 major cities in China for three consecutive quarters. In the first three quarters, 1530 concentrated projects were started in Shijiazhuang City, with a total investment of 286.84 billion yuan, and the annual investment is expected to be completed at 94.45 billion yuan. By the end of September, all construction had begun and a total investment of 105.82 billion yuan had been completed, accounting for 112% of the annual estimated completed investment.

Among the 507 key projects started this time, the average investment scale of individual projects is 230 million yuan, covering strategic emerging industries, upgrading traditional industries, modern service industry, agricultural industrialization, strengthening weak links in people's livelihood, infrastructure and urban renewal. Among them, 353 were industrial projects, accounting for nearly 70 percent. As the main venue for this focus on construction activities, shijiazhuang tianyuan biological vaccine research and development and innovation of the high-tech industrialization base project, plans to invest 3.5 billion yuan, the construction of the new platform, new adjuvant vaccine live attenuated influenza vaccine industry platform and new genetic engineering vaccine industry platform, all projects after the expected total annual profit tax of 7.2 billion yuan.
