On November 7, 2022, the feasibility study report of Hebei Section of Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 (Pinggu Line) was approved by Hebei Development and Reform Commission. So far, the whole Pinggu Line has completed the preliminary work of the feasibility study stage, marking the completion of the vehicle selection, investment mode, power supply mode and other preliminary work of the project, and the project has officially entered the comprehensive construction stage.
Project overview
Pinggu Line is the first rail transit line with the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in Beijing. It connects Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, Pinggu District and Sanhe City, Hebei Province, with a total length of 81 kilometers and a total investment of 50.6 billion yuan. There are 21 stations along the line, including 18 underground stations, 16 in Beijing and 5 in Hebei.
Since Beijing and Hebei have different procedures and implementation standards in project approval, review, acceptance, etc., Beijing Municipal Deputy Center Engineering Office and Beijing Municipal Major Affairs Office have led various functional departments in Beijing and Hebei Province to carry out negotiations and discussions for many times, sorted out and studied various procedures of Pinggu Line item by item, and determined a entrusted undertaking scheme for 43 procedures of Pinggu Line in 2021; At the same time, it led the functional departments of Beijing, Hebei Province and Sanhe City to jointly promote the revision of the feasibility study report and various special articles.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Engineering Office of the Beijing Municipal Deputy Center, 18 bid sections have been completed for the construction of Pinggu Line, including 16 in Beijing and 2 in Hebei. Substantial commencement of 13 bid sections along the line, including 11 in Beijing and 2 in Hebei. The construction of the main station of the whole line has been completed by 17%, and the construction of the section has been completed by 3.9%. The overall plan is to complete and open to traffic by the end of 2025.
After the completion of Pinggu Line in the future, it will be of great significance for the coordinated development of transportation integration in Beijing Tianjin Hebei and the development and construction of urban sub centers.
