On November 8, 2022, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Transportation held a press conference to report the centralized commencement of six highway projects in Shaanxi Province.

There are 6 highway construction projects under centralized construction this time, with a total investment of about 10.78 billion yuan, including the reconstruction and expansion of Qujiang Taiyi Palace on the Baotou Maoming line of the national highway, as well as 5 ordinary national and provincial trunk highway projects, including the Xiadazhai Houguanzhai Highway passing through Xi'an on the National Highway 210, involving Xi'an, Baoji, Yulin and Ankang, covering Guanzhong, Northern and Southern Shaanxi. The implementation of these projects will effectively improve the traffic capacity and service level of the regional road network, promote the export of agricultural products, help rural revitalization, and promote new urbanization, which is of far-reaching significance for achieving coordinated economic and social development.

Reconstruction and Expansion Project of Qujiang Taiyi Palace Section of Baotou Maoming Expressway

The project is an important part of G65 Baotou Maoming Expressway in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The route starts from Qujiang Interchange, which connects Baotou Maoming Expressway and Xi'an Ring Expressway, and extends along the existing expressway on both sides to the south, ending at Taiyi Palace Interchange. The total length of the route is 18.533 km. Among them, 15.596km from the starting point to Wangmang Junction Interchange is a two-way eight lane expressway with a design speed of 100km/h and a subgrade width of 42m. The section from Wangmang Junction Interchange to the terminal is a six lane expressway with a design speed of 80km/h and a subgrade width of 33.5m. The total estimated amount of the project is 2.632 billion yuan, and the construction period is 30 months. Accelerating the reconstruction and expansion of this section can effectively alleviate the traffic congestion, greatly improve the traffic service level in the north-south direction of Shaanxi Province, ensure the convenience and smoothness of the national highway corridor, and promote the development of regional tourism resources and coordinated economic and social development.

National Highway 210 Xi'an Transit Xiadazhai Houguanzhai Highway Project

The project is located in the east of Xi'an City. It is a key construction project planned by the Ministry of Transport and Shaanxi Province during the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan". It is 60.1km long, with a total investment of 7.42 billion yuan. It passes through Gaoling, Lintong, Baqiao and Chang'an districts. It is an important passage in the east of Xi'an that runs through the north and south. It is of great significance to optimize the road connection between the central and sub central urban areas and relieve regional traffic pressure.

Linyou County Liangshe Highway Reconstruction Project of Provincial Highway 311

The project is located in Linyou County, Baoji City, with a total length of 9.1 kilometers and a total investment of 190 million yuan. The project is an important channel connecting Linyou County and Liangshe Exit of Xunfeng Expressway. The construction of the project is of positive significance for opening the "artery" of Linyou's east-west transportation, optimizing the regional road traffic environment, and promoting the export of agricultural special products, commercial logistics, and the development of global tourism.

Shiquanchihe Town Transit Highway Project of National Highway 316

The project is located in Shiquan County, Ankang City, with a total length of 4.1 kilometers and a total investment of 103 million yuan.
