On November 8, 2022, the general assembly of the 11th round of steel box girder of Lingdingyang Bridge of Shenzhen China Railway Channel, which was constructed by CRHIC's China Railway Baoqiao Bridge, was completed successfully. The completion of this round of steel box girder assembly marks the completion of the steel box girder assembly of the deep and medium channel of Lot G04 undertaken by China Railway Baoqiao, and the end of the production and manufacturing in the factory, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent erection of Lingdingyang Bridge.
Shenzhen China Channel is a world-class cross sea channel project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater connectivity". The project is about 30km from Humen Bridge in the north and 38km from Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge in the south. The total length of the main project is about 24.03km, of which the bridge project is about 17km long. It is an important river crossing channel in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
The scope of work of contract section G05 of Shenzhen Middle Channel undertaken by China Tieshan Bridge under CRHIC includes Zhongshan Bridge, the main bridge with a main span of 580 meters, non navigable bridge in the flood discharge area at the transverse gate of the approach bridge with a span of 110 meters, non navigable bridge in the shoal area of the approach bridge with a span of 60 meters, and Wanqingsha Interchange Ramp Bridge with a span of 42-65 meters. The main line is 3.54 kilometers long, including ancillary facilities, and the total work amount of steel structures is about 92000 tons; The bid section G04 of the deep and medium channel contracted by China Railway Baoqiao is 3753m long, including Lingdingyang Bridge (1/2 of the work amount) and the non navigable bridge in Lingding West Flood Discharge Area. The total work amount of steel structures (including ancillary facilities) is about 92000 tons. In the early stage, the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen China Channel, which was constructed by China Railway Shanqiao, has been successfully closed.

In view of the large scale, complex construction conditions and high technical standards of Shenzhen China Channel, the project team has actively applied new technologies, new equipment and new processes to build China's first large-scale steel structure intelligent production line in the direction of digitalization, informatization and intelligence, greatly improving the stability of box girder quality and production efficiency.
At the same time, the project team took solving common problems in the industry such as fatigue damage of orthotropic steel box girder bridge deck, quality control of full penetration welding of U-rib and top plate as a breakthrough point, and built the "four lines and one system" intelligent manufacturing production demonstration line with the core of intelligent cutting and cutting production line for plates, intelligent welding production line for plate units, intelligent assembly production line for sections, intelligent painting production line for steel box girders, and intelligent management and control system for workshop manufacturing implementation, It greatly improves the low degree of automatic welding of steel box girder, has strong engineering promotion and application value, and provides a reference for traffic intelligent construction.Editor/Ma Xue
