Recently, Wenzhou Port core port area deep water inlet channel main project officially started. It is reported that the project is an important public infrastructure in Wenzhou Port Zhuangyuan 'ao Port area and Daxiaomen Island Port area, as well as an important part of the construction of Wenzhou Port deep water channel. In line with the construction progress of Wenzhou LNG Project and Huagang LNG Project, the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in May 2023.

According to reports, the Wenzhou port core port area deep water inlet channel main project dredged a total length of 42.1 kilometers, mainly including the outer channel, Zhuangyuan Ao port area channel and the size of the men island port channel three parts, including the outer channel scale of 50,000-ton double line, 266,000 cubic meters of LNG ship single line full tide navigation, 100,000 tons of ships single line tide navigation; The channel scale in Zhuangyuan Ao Port is 50,000-ton double line, 215,000 cubic meters LNG ships single line full tide navigation, 100,000 ton single line tidal navigation; Daxiaomen Island port area within the waterway to meet 266,000 cubic meters of LNG ships single-line full tide navigation.

The main project of the deep water inlet channel of Wenzhou Port Core Port area is the foundation of the three core ports outside the Oujiang estuary. The implementation of the project can meet the development needs of the export-oriented economy in Wenzhou and even in southern Zhejiang and northern Fujian, promote the professional and large-scale development of Wenzhou Port, help the development of Zhuangyuan 'ao Port area and Dagumen Island Port area, and accelerate Wenzhou Port to become an important hub port area in China.
