Kazakh Prime Minister Smyrov said recently that the Caspian Pipeline Union is expected to soon complete the maintenance of a mooring point of its Black Sea oil export terminal, which may mark the rapid increase of Kazakhstan's oil shipments. Kazakhstan's oil production and export have been declining in recent months due to the partial interruption of Kashagan oil field due to natural gas leakage and the urgent maintenance of two mooring points of CPC pipeline in the Black Sea.
At the end of August, CPC said that as two of the three single point mooring points of the terminal needed emergency maintenance, it was expected that Kazakhstan's oil exports through the Black Sea terminal would face a reduction in shipments and a disruption in the loading schedule for at least one month. Earlier, there were indications that the three SPMs would be fully operational by mid October. On the other hand, Kasha Glycerol Field is expected to recover its production level of 400000 barrels per day by the end of October. Due to some minor equipment failures, the output of Kasha glycerin field has decreased. We are in the process of repairing. Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Borat Aksholakov said in mid October.
Kashagan, an offshore oilfield, is one of the oilfields with very large crude oil production capacity in the world. On November 6, Kazakhstan's daily output of crude oil and condensate increased significantly after Kasha glycerol field resumed production.
Prime Minister Smyrov of Kazakhstan said on the 10th that his country had formulated a special road map for diversification of oil exports, planned to reduce its dependence on exports of CPC passing through Russia, and from next year, through the Baku Tbilisi Ceyhan pipeline, more oil would be transported from Azerbaijan to the port of Ceyhan in Türkiye's Mediterranean Sea.
He said that Kazakhstan can also transport oil through Baku Supusa and Baku Batumi pipelines. In addition, the railway lines from Atyrau to Batumi and Uzbekistan can also be used. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's oil has been exported to China. At present, the government is working to continue to expand Kazakhstan's oil export potential. According to him, Tengiz Chevrolet has doubled the number of tank cars and started to transport oil to Batumi and Uzbekistan by rail.Editor/Xing Wentao
