On November 21, 2022, the Public Resources Trading Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region released the bidding announcement for the PPP project of Guigang Jingxingye Bobai Highway. The investment amount of the project is 14.392 billion yuan. The tenderee is the Department of Transportation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Project overview

The total mileage of the project road is 103.17km, and the main line is generally northwest southeast, passing Gangnan District, Xingye County, Pubei County and Bobai County. The starting point of the project is about 1.8km from the south side of Gantang Reservoir in Batang Town, Gangnan District, Guigang City, connecting with the East Ring Road of Guigang City. The route is arranged from the starting point to the southeast, passing through the planned East Second Ring Road in Mulong Village, north of Batang Town, then passing through the south side of the planned Guigang General Airport, passing through the planned Guigang Pingnan Shugang Railway in Dalingtun, crossing with the built Three North Expressway in Xinhua Village, east of Batang Town, and passing through Qiaowei Town and the north side of Zhanjiang Town in the southeast, On the east side of Zhanjiang Town, it successively crosses the Watang River, Litang Zhanjiang Railway and Provincial Highway S511. After crossing Zhanjiang Town, the route turns south to Shanxin Town, Xingye County, Yulin City. On the west side of Shanxin Town, Wuxing Village crosses the existing Guangzhou Kunming Expressway. On Boai Village, it crosses Provincial Highway S207. After crossing Shanxin Town, it continues to enter Muge Town, Gangnan District, Guigang City. At Heding, Huangshi Village, a tunnel is set to enter Kuiyang Town, Xingye County successively, passing through Provincial Highway S209 and Shizhangdu, At the northwest corner of Yuxinrong Reservoir, it crosses the Nanyu High speed Railway under construction, crosses Teng Village in the north of Chenghuang Town and Nanyu Expressway under construction, successively crosses the Dabi River and National Highway G324, crosses Chenghuang Town from the east of Chenghuang Town and the west of Longquanyan Scenic Area, then crosses the Daxi Reservoir, crosses the provincial highway S209 in Zhennan Village, enters Liupeng Town, Pubei County, runs southward along the provincial highway S209 corridor, and passes through the hinterland of 60000 mountains, After crossing Zhuwa River on the west side of Hengling Cluster in Liugui Town, crossing Wenhuotang on the north side of Pingmu Town and Yupu Expressway planned at the same time on the west side of Liugui Town, and then deviating from the provincial highway S209 corridor belt, continue to be laid southward, overcome the mountain terrain by continuously setting bridges and tunnels, cross Jiajiang River, enter Langping Township, Bobai County, cross Wazuotou, enter Liwang Village, Shuiming Town, and successively cross the national highways G359, Shuiming River and S209 on the east side of Shuiming Town. The terminal point is located near Xidong Village, about 2.5 kilometers south of Shuiming Town, Bobai County, Yulin City. The terminal point is connected with the Puqing Expressway under construction, and the long-term connection conditions for the planned Bona Expressway are reserved.

The main line of the project adopts the technical standard of two-way four lane expressway with design speed of 120Km/h and subgrade width of 26.5m. A total of 20968.3/91m bridges are set, including 19363.3/67m large bridges and 1605/24m medium bridges. There are 4909/7m tunnels, including 2471.5/2m long tunnels, 1432/2m medium tunnels and 1005.5/3m short tunnels. The bridge tunnel ratio is 25.08%. 336 culverts and channels, 15 overpasses. There are 9 interchanges, 1 management sub center, 4 toll stations, 2 maintenance work areas, 1 tunnel management station, 2 service areas and 1 parking area along the line. The construction period of the project is 3 years.
