On November 21, 2022, QCMT&T and KFMI signed a framework agreement to jointly build a "Collaborative Innovation Center for High end Equipment of Ultra High Purity Metal Sputtering Targets for Integrated Circuit Manufacturing". Yan Jianbo, secretary of the party committee and chairman of QCMT&T, and Yao Lijun, chairman and chief technical officer of KFMI, attended the signing ceremony and jointly unveiled the "QCMT&T • KFMI Semiconductor Target High end Equipment Collaborative Innovation Center".

Li Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of QCMT&T, signed a framework agreement with Wang Xueze, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chief Engineer of KFMI.

KFMI is a R&D and production base specializing in ultra-high purity metal materials and sputtering targets for large-scale integrated circuit manufacturing, a domestic leading enterprise in high purity metal sputtering targets, and a core enterprise in domestic integrated circuit materials.

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that high-quality development is the primary task of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. As representative enterprises of high-end equipment industry and national new material industry, QCMT&T and KFMI shoulder the historical mission and responsibility of promoting national high-quality development. The two sides will further deepen cooperation, collaborate in innovation, jointly tackle key problems, realize resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation, and contribute to a manufacturing power.
