The Chengdu Chongqing Middle Line High speed Railway starts from Chongqing North Railway Station, the Chongqing hub, and runs westward through Yubei District, Shapingba District, Bishan District, Tongliang District, Dazu District of Chongqing, Ziyang City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and leads to Chengdu Terminal Station. The main line is 292 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Some sections are reserved for further speed increase. The construction period is 5 years.

The whole line of Chengdu Chongqing Middle Line High speed Railway consists of 8 stations, including Chongqing North Station, Chongqing Science City Station, Tongliang Station, Dazu Stone Carving Station, Anyue Station, Lezhi Station, Jianzhou Station and Chengdu Station. Among them, Chongqing North Station is an existing station, Chengdu Station is an expanded station, and the other 6 stations are new stations.

The Chengdu Chongqing Middle Line High speed Railway is an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network along the river.
