On November 25, 2022, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transport released the bid invitation announcement for the construction of Section JD01 of Ningbo Section I of the G92N Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway Double Track Parallel Line in Hangzhou Bay Area. The planned construction period of the project is four years, and the approved budget estimate is 17.991 billion yuan.

Project overview

Phase I of Ningbo Section of the parallel G92N Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway Double Track in Hangzhou Bay Area is located in Yuyao City, Hangzhou Bay New Area, Cixi City and Zhenhai District. The new route is composed of the west section and the east section, with a total length of about 55.475 km. Among them, the K0+000-K15+315 section in the west section, namely the section from Xiaocao'e Hub to Andong, is about 15.315 km long, connecting the Hangzhou Bay Bridge and the Shaoxing direction of the Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway Double Track, Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway connecting line of Hangzhou Bay Sea Crossing Bridge under construction; The east section K0+364-K40+520 is the interconnection section from Fuhai Hub to Weihai. The route is about 40.156 km long, connecting the south connecting line of Hangzhou Bay Bridge and ending at Weihai Road, Zhenhai District after crossing with Jintang Bridge. Nine interchanges are arranged along the whole line, including eight newly-built ones, namely Xiaocao'e, Anxi Dongxi, Fuhai, Cidong, Longshan, Xiepu, Binhai, Weihai and one built one as Andong, six toll stations, one management sub center, one maintenance work area, one bridge management station and one overload control station.

The main line of the Project is designed according to the standard of two-way six lane expressway in the Technical Standards for Highway Engineering (JTG B01-2014) issued by the Ministry of Communications. The design speed is 120km/h, the subgrade width is 34.5m, and the width of the central separation zone is 3m.

Division of bidding: The electromechanical engineering of this project includes communication, charging, monitoring, lighting and other systems within the range of stakes of K0+364-K40+520 in the east section and K0+000-K15+315 in the west section, as well as smart highway, power supply and distribution and other works. There are two bid sections, namely JD01 and JD02.

Section JD01 includes equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, trial operation, training and testing of communication, charging, lighting, power supply and distribution systems of electromechanical engineering within the chainage range of K0+364-K40+520 in the east section and K0+000-K15+315 in the west section of the project, cooperation in supplementary design of construction drawings, defect repair during the defect liability period and warranty during the warranty period.
