Recently, Gansu Provincial Department of Transportation officially approved the preliminary design and budget estimate of Zhengning Zhenyuan Section of National Highway 327 and Xihe Dangchang Expressway. The total estimated investment of the two projects is about 28.5 billion yuan.

Zhengning Zhenyuan Section of National Highway 327

Zhengning Zhenyuan Section of National Highway 327 is a national highway project included in the 14th Five Year Plan for Highway Development and the 14th Five Year Plan for Highway and Waterway Transportation Development in Gansu Province of the Ministry of Transport, which carries the mission of connecting Zhenyuan County with expressway.

The starting point of the project is located at Tiaolingguan, Zhengning County, Qingyang City, passing through Wuqingyuan Hui Township, Xipo Town, Shanhe Town and other places in Zhengning County. The starting and ending points are connected with the existing national highway 327, with a total length of 178.173 km, including 75.317 km of Class I highway and 102.856 km of Class II highway. The total estimated investment of the project is 9.764 billion yuan, and the project is constructed in the mode of government and social capital cooperation (PPP). The construction period is 3 years.

Xihe Dangchang Expressway

The Xihe Dangchang Expressway Project is a provincial expressway project included in the Fourteenth Five Year Plan for Highway and Waterway Traffic Development in Gansu Province, which is implemented by Longnan City. The main line of the project starts from Shixia Town, Xihe County, Longnan City, connects with G7011 Shitian Expressway through Bafengya, Qinggangling, Daqiao Town and other places, and ends at Linjiangpu Town, Dangchang County, Longnan City. It connects with G75 Lanhai Expressway through a hub interchange with a length of 100.494 km, and simultaneously constructs a 4.708 km Nanyang interconnection line. The total estimated investment of the project is 18.769 billion yuan, which is constructed by the government and social capital cooperation mode (PPP). The construction period is 4 years.

In the future, with the construction of these two key highway projects, it will be of great significance to accelerate the construction of Southeast Gansu Economic Belt, support strong county actions, promote the development of red tourism resources, and drive the common prosperity of local people.
