The Mombasa Nairobi Railway is an early harvest project of the the Belt and Road Initiative. It is an international trunk railway that adopts Chinese standards, Chinese technology, Chinese management, Chinese equipment construction, and Chinese operation and maintenance, opening a broader world for China's railway to further go global.

Conilia Wire, a female locomotive driver, said that she had learned a lot from Chinese teachers, which completely overturned the inherent idea that the industry was dominated by men. She never regretted choosing this profession.

Titus Kiprono, the deputy director of the Nairobi industrial and electrical maintenance workshop, thought that he was very happy during his trip to the Star of Africa. He especially thanked the Chinese master for learning a lot of professional knowledge and getting promoted.

Harrison kinyanjui, assistant director of the dispatching center, said that the standard gauge railway made the transportation of goods more convenient, and his main task was to ensure that all goods arrived on time.
