On December 2, 2022 (Zambia time), China Fifth Ring Engineering Co., LTD., a subsidiary of China Chemical Institute, and Zambia United Capital Fertilizer Co., LTD., held the signing ceremony of Zambia United Capital 300,000 tons/year fertilizer project in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. The project is located in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, with a scale of 180,000 tons/year of synthetic ammonia and 300,000 tons/year of urea. The total contract amount is about 3.27 billion yuan.

Zambia joint capital 300,000 tons/year fertilizer project

This project is the first modern urea project in East Africa and the first EPC general contract fertilizer project undertaken by a Chinese engineering company in sub-Saharan Africa. During the construction period, the project will provide more than 2,500 local jobs, and after the completion, it will provide more than 1,800 long-term stable jobs, which will greatly promote the local economic and social development. The construction of the project will greatly alleviate the problem of fertilizer shortage in Zambia and become a new engine for Zambia's industrial and agricultural development.

Egypt Kafral-Sheikh complex housing construction project

Recently, Sinochem No.2 Construction Group Co., LTD., a subsidiary of ChemChina, successfully signed a housing construction contract in Egypt's Kafral-Sheikh complex. The project, located in Kafrashieh province, 134 km from Cairo, is for the construction of 36 13-storey residential buildings with a total contract value of about 1.55 billion yuan.

This project is a successful embodiment of the operation philosophy of "promoting development through construction" of Sinochem in the Egyptian market. During the construction period, the project will provide about 2,000 jobs for the local people, which will greatly promote the local economic and social development.

Indonesia Shengtuo Lithium production capacity of 50,000 tons of lithium hydroxide combined production of 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate project

Recently, China Chemical Engineering 14th Construction Co., LTD., a subsidiary of China Chemical Institute, and Shengxin Lithium Energy Group Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony of Indonesia Shengtuo Lithium Energy annual production of 50,000 tons of lithium hydroxide and 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate project in Chengdu. The project is located in Qingshan Industrial Park, Morovali County, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The scale of the project is 50,000 tons/year lithium hydroxide and 10,000 tons/year lithium carbonate. The total contract amount is about 1.01 billion yuan.

This project is Shengxin Lithium Energy Group's largest overseas investment in lithium salt project, after completion will become the world's advanced power battery raw material manufacturing base, create a lot of local jobs, boost the economic development of Indonesia. The construction of this project will further enhance the market share of Chinese enterprises in the world lithium salt industry, and make positive contributions to the green and low-carbon development and energy reserve of China and even the world.
