In the afternoon of December 6, 2022, the Information Office of Linyi Municipal People's Government held the 15th press conference with the theme of "walking ahead, taking the lead and improving the level". At the meeting, the relevant person in charge introduced the Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Linyi City as a Transport Powerful Shandong Demonstration Zone. In combination with the national railway development plan, Linyi focused on planning Weifang Suqian High Speed Railway (the second channel of Beijing Shanghai High Speed Railway), Laiwu Linyi, Linyi Lianyungang and other high speed railways.

Weifang Suqian High speed Railway: 399 kilometers in length, with an estimated total investment of 76.05 billion yuan, of which, 167 kilometers in Linyi, with an investment of 32.3 billion yuan, covers an area of more than 7300 mu (about 4400 mu of basic farmland), passes through eight counties and districts, including Yishui County, Yinan County, Hedong District, Lanshan District, High tech Zone, Luozhuang District, Lanling County, and Tancheng County, and has five stations, including Yishui Station in Juxian County, Yinan Station (the original station is reconstructed and expanded), Linyi North Station, Lanling Station, and Tancheng West Station. At present, the project is carrying out the countersignature of the feasibility study approval at the provincial level, and is expected to start construction in 2023, with a construction period of about three and a half years.

Laiwu Linyi High speed Railway: The total length is about 114 kilometers, and it is about 94 kilometers in Linyi City. The line is planned to start from Laiwu Gangcheng Station and connect to Linyi North Station through Xintai City and Mengyin County to the south. It is planned to set up two stations, Mengyin and Menglianggu, with a land area of about 4800 mu. The total investment of the project is about 19.4 billion yuan. At present, we are actively coordinating with the National Railway Group, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments, striving to include it in the national 14th Five Year Plan for railway network revision as soon as possible, and striving to make the project ready for construction by the end of 2023, with a construction period of about three and a half years.

Linyi Lianyungang High speed Railway: 106.8 km in total, 67.1 km in Linyi City. The line is planned to lead from Linyi North Station and connect to Lianyungang Station of Lianyungang Xuzhou Passenger Dedicated Line via Hedong, Linshu and Ganyu. At present, the pre feasibility study of the project has been completed and the preliminary work is being actively carried out. Lunan High speed Railway and Weisu High speed Railway have been clearly connected to Linyi North Station. According to the plan, Laizhou Linyi High speed Railway and Linyi Lianyungang High speed Railway will also be connected to Linyi North Station. Linyi North Railway Station is planned to design 8 sets of 22 lines, including Lunan Railway Station, Beijing Shanghai Railway Station and Lailinchang Railway Station. Lailinchang Railway Station connects Lailin Railway Station and Linlian Railway Station, and Zao Lin Railway Station leads to Lunan Railway Station. Multiple tie lines are arranged in the hub, and access conditions for Linyi Lianjiang, Xuzaolin and other high-speed trains are reserved. Many high-speed trains will be interconnected at Linyi North Station.
