On December 7, 2022, Guangdong Hydropower released an announcement that the company plans to invest in the construction of the 2 million kilowatt optical storage integration project in Bachu County, Kashgar, Xinjiang, by Bachu County Guangdong Hydropower Energy Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Guangdong Hydropower Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 12.303 billion yuan.

The project is located in the Poverty Alleviation Industry Incubation Park of Yintai Road Industrial Park, Bachu Town, Bachu County, Kashi Prefecture, Xinjiang. The construction scale of the photovoltaic power station is 2000MW, the capacity allocation ratio is about 1.40, and the supporting energy storage scale is 500MW/2000MWh. The total investment of the project is 12.3 billion yuan, and the planned construction period is 20 months.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve certain economic benefits, which will play a certain role in improving the future business performance of the company and Xinjiang Guangdong Hydropower.
