Chengdawan high-speed railway is a high-speed railway connecting Chengdu, Nanchong, Dazhou and Wanzhou District of Chongqing in Sichuan Province. The main line of the line has a total length of 477 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The Chongqing section, which is fully under construction this time, has a total length of 39.6 kilometers, including 11.5 tunnels and 21 bridges. The terrain along the line is undulating, the geological conditions are extremely complex, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is as high as 88%, which has extremely high requirements for construction technology.

The Nanhe Bridge, which started construction on the same day, is located in the hilly area between parallel ridges and valleys in the east of Sichuan, Kaizhou District, Chongqing City, with a total length of 410.4 meters. According to Wu Xiaoping, Manager of the First Work Area of the Chengdawan High-speed Railway Engineering Headquarters of China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., at present, 6 large-scale equipment have entered the site for the Nanhe Bridge, and the erection of the steel temporary bridge and the construction of the pile foundation are in progress. After the piles are completed, in the next stage, efforts will be made to 6 tunnels, 15 bridges, and 14 roadbeds in the pipe section, forming a situation of simultaneous progress and full-scale construction, and striving for the early completion and opening of the line.

He Wanfa, commander of the Dazhou Headquarters of Chengdawan High-speed Railway Co., Ltd., said that there are four construction units along the Chongqing section. Some large-scale temporary projects have been completed, and the substantive construction of main road foundations, bridges, and tunnels has entered the stage. The completion of the line will connect northern Chongqing and eastern Sichuan, further improve the high-speed rail channel along the river, and build a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor for the Yangtze River Economic Belt, which is of great significance and role in improving the transportation capacity and service quality of Chengdu and Chongqing.
