A few days ago, under the double influence of heavy snow and strong cold air, the 220 kV Wengong Line in Xinjiang crossing Tianshan Mountains was severely iced, and one tower head was damaged, resulting in the double channel power transmission becoming a single channel power supply. In case of cold wave and extreme weather, 4 counties in Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture are at risk of large-scale power failure. This line is one of the transmission lines with the largest difficulty coefficient of 220 kV operation, maintenance and emergency repair in Xinjiang power grid.
