Recently, the signing ceremony of the development cooperation agreement for the Cuolong Gongma Pumped Storage Power Station Project in Maqu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province was held in Hezuo City. The principals of Maqu County Government and Zhejiang Huadong Institute Holdings Co., Ltd. signed the contract on site on behalf of the project partners.

It is reported that the total investment of the Cuolonggongma pumped storage power station project is 20 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts. It is currently the pumped storage power station with the largest single installed capacity in the country and the largest single investment project in Gannan Prefecture. After the completion of the power station, it is of great significance to stabilize the fluctuation of domestic new energy output of Gansu Power Grid, improve the development and consumption capacity of new energy such as photovoltaics, ensure the safe and stable operation of the transmission system, and improve the economy of long-distance power transmission.
